Fried Eggplants with Spicy Tahini
Fried Eggplants with Spicy Tahini it is a timeless classic: a beloved, tasty, and easy-to-make dish that can be served as a side to the main course.
Ingredients for fried eggplants with spicy tahini:
- 2 eggplants, cut into slices about 1.5 cm thick.
- salt.
- oil for frying.
Spicy Tahini.
- 1/2 cup of Al Arz tahini.
- 1/3 cup of water.
- CJuice of half a lemon or to taste.
- or to taste 2-3 crushed garlic cloves,
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika,
- 1/4 teaspoon hot paprika (or more to taste),
- Csalt and black pepper to taste
For serving:
Parsley, cilantro, or mint leaves
Preparation:
Sprinkle the eggplant slices with salt, place them in a colander, and set aside for half an hour. Pat dry with a paper towel. Heat oil in a pan and fry the eggplant slices on both sides until nicely browned. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
Prepare the tahini: mix raw tahini, water, lemon juice, garlic, and spices in a bowl until smooth. Pour the tahini into a deep dish, arrange the eggplant slices on top, and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Ready!
